On the 11th of June 2026, we held our first Nintendo Kent meetup, and what a night it was! The theme for this event was Mario Kart World, and we had two copies of it on-going, one on the big projector and one on a large monitor, with a backup game of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe!
For a first event with minimal advertising, we were thrilled to have 11 people at our busiest with two concurrent games of 4-player Mario Kart World going at one point. It was a truly fantastic night of laughs, and not a single broken controller, despite ending the night on a 5 player Smash Ultimate game!
We’re ecstatic to be able to announce that we will be graduating to fortnightly sessions starting on the 25th of June 2026, which is truly crazy considering a year ago we thought we might never get to launch Nintendo Kent at all due to financial struggles.
